   give a guarantee just long enough to rush your Terrier puppy to the vet for a quick check-up.

   openly discuss health problems of Terriers in general and their line specifically.
   Bad Breeders of Terriers...
   insist all their Terriers are perfect and have never, ever had a health problem.


3. Good Breeders of Terriers...
   show you the Terrier mother dog on premises.
   Bad Breeders of Terriers...
   make excuses why they can't show you the Terrier mother dog.


4. Good Breeders of Terriers...
   may not own the Terrier father dog, but will have photos and information about him and will tell you how to contact his owner.
   Bad Breeders of Terriers...
   may be evasive about the Terrier father dog, or provide sketchy information you cannot verify.


5. Good Breeders of Terriers...
   have litters solely to improve the breed.
   Bad Breeders of Terriers...
   just want to sell puppies.

   mate only the best of their Terriers and carefully match the genetic heredity of both parents.
